Welcome to the Literature Retrieval System
Our Literature Retrieval System (LRS) is an online collection of scientific papers comprising over 130,000 documents in searchable PDF format, drawn from our extensive library of books, journals, reprints, reports, and other sources. Established in 1962, our collection has grown steadily through dedicated searching of published and unpublished materials for information of significance to the Department of Defense pest management program, and accessioning of these materials into our library and online database.
An important new addition is being made to the personal literature collections currently accessible through our site: the Dr. Phillip G. Lawyer (COL, U.S. Army, Ret.) collection on sand flies of medical importance. Dr. Lawyer's personal collection joins those of the Walter Reed Biosystematics Unit collection on mosquitoes of medical importance, the Dr. Norman G. Gratz collection on global pest management, the Dr. Goro Kuno collection on dengue, the Dr. Andrew Spielman collection on public health entomology, and the Dr. John H. Cross collection on helminthology.
We hope that you will find the LRS useful in your research and that you will consider contributing to it, thereby supporting the global DoD pest management community.
