Captain Timothy J. Davis, HQ, Air Mobility Command (AMC) Pest Management Consultant, Scott AFB IL, is the winner of the 2008 Major General William D. Gilbert Award (Major Command Staff Action Officer) for AMC. This annual award honors US Air Force Major General William D. Gilbert, Director of Engineering and Services from 1978 to 1982, and recognizes outstanding performance and exemplary service by engineering military and civilian staff action officers. A most impressive achievement for Captain Davis considering this is an annual AMC Civil Engineer award going to the sole medical officer (and an entomologist at that!) assigned to HQ, AMC Installations and Mission Support. Captain Davis now moves on to compete at the US Air Force level.
